Hidden Treasure in San Diego
I am always so envious of the classes offered by Guilds in Great Britain. Yes, we have sewing and quilting circles in the States. You can take a huge variety of classes offered by professionals in almost any area of contemporary art textiles that you want to. But to find a resource that offers classes to the community for free is rare. If you've kept up with this blog you know that I took a 9 month certificate course in interactive media (5 hours a day, 5 days a week on state of the art Macs) where I was introduced to Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Final Cut Pro and other visual and multi media software programs a few years ago. This life changing course led to independent study of digital textile design, which in turn completely changed the way I design fabric, quilts and art wear.
