Eco Etsy - Etta + Billie Handcrafted Natural Bath and Body Products

Yes, yes, I know it has been several weeks since you saw an Eco Etsy post on yasmintoo! ytooty has been busy with out of town company, writing articles for hubpages.com, getting the marketing set up for the yasmintoo! digital fabric (expected in the shop no later than the middle of October), taking a silk screen class and brushing up on Illustrator. Now, Eco Etsy is baaaaaaaaacccccccckkkkkkkkkkk.

About Alana Rivera of Etta + Billie:  I am from a small town (pop. 7,000) in the middle of beautiful no where. I fled small town life for the big city - now I sometimes miss the rural ways. Since leaving the city is out of the question right now, I am trying to meld the two lifestyles while starting my own eco friendly bath and body product business, living in a small apartment with my boyfriend, and working a 9-5 job.

I emailed Alana and told her the soaps look good enough to eat, she replied "I have "tasted" my soap before and it certainly doesn't taste as good as it looks."

Lots of blah, blah, wee going on about FaceBook and 25 friends, business pages no longer the be all end all, and having more meaningful interactions with family, friends and in groups. The Dye Garden

The idea of the dye garden is very simple. Request dye plant seeds from me, or buy your own and begin your garden. Doesn't matter whether you have an acre, a small backyard, a window sill or a balcony. See below for links on how to get your seeds started. I've ordered indigo seeds from Botanical Colors (Madam Magyar), Blue Light Junction (grown in Baltimore, MD) and Ossabaw Island, GA (Mayan Blue). Soon indigo seeds should be arriving from my friend Kiri in Brazil.   In addition to the indigo seeds, I also have weld, woad, coreopsis, black hopi sunflower and madder seeds.  This seed variety will produce a full spectrum of colors. Primary colors when used individually in a dyebath, and a host of secondary and tertiary colors when combined.
