In the stores - Etsy, Artfire and Shophandmade

Having shared the fact that I am an artist with you, my feet are back on firma terra. The mortgage rears it's ugly head and Bella the dog is high maintenance. So here's what I've been doing lately.

I finished 250 cards for the etsy and artfire shops. I got back six new fabric designs from the digital printer. Five work, one doesn't. But I knew that when I pushed the button, just couldn't stop myself from wanting a three piece coordinating set of fabric.

This is the Mawina Pattern in Organic Cotton Jersey Knit
Organic fabric is beyond belief. The color of the cotton is ivory. The cotton sateen is just such a beautiful piece of fabric, the sheen is amazing, the body and hand are substantial, and it takes both dye and pigment beautifully.

This pattern is called Quilt Top - Organic Cotton Jersey Knit
My mouth watered over the organic cotton jersey knit. I want to live in it. Makes me feel like Prince Charles back in the day when he was making sexy with Camilla. The weight and hand of this fabric are unbelievable.

Set of Four Holiday Season Cards, bronze recycled card stock, gold and silver water soluble ink on ivory vellum.
Back to the cards. The cards are now available only in sets - four, eight, twelve or more. Special pricing for the holiday season, reduced by a third.

A set of four Trifold cards on recycled white card stock, red, gold and silver water soluble ink printed on a natural mango paper.
I ordered stationery which coordinates with Vera Wang's palette. This stationery will be for wedding notes - invitations to all wedding events with the exception of the actual ceremony. So the save the date card, the rehearsal dinner, bridal shower, thank you notes, etc. Lovely to have a touch of VW without the expense of a VW dress.

The three patterns in the Kumeyaay set printed on Organic Cotton Sateen (The Kumeyaay are a Southern California Native American Tribe.)
I have been having an issue with my digital printer. I think I'll blog about it once I get to the point where I can write reasonably about my feelings and not go into a total rant. No rants here. Any who, I'm looking at Karma Kraft for my fabric printing. I may take the plunge and just order some fabric from a printer in China or India on my own, though I would be more comfortable with someone who knows the lay of the land assisting me. So, my next set of designs are for silk dupioni pillows. The fabric will be printed by Karma Kraft and they will also do the pillow construction. I'll keep you posted on how this goes. Have a good one.
