March Goals

My goals for this month are:

List one new item daily on Etsy and 1000markets. (The images in this post are from the item I listed today - Four Coordinating Fat Quarters in Black, Midnight Blue, Gray and White, dyed on upcycled 100% cotton, 22 X 22 inches each.)



Spend one week dyeing fabric for quilt tops, yardage and fat quarter, that includes ironing, taking images, packaging, putting into spread sheet inventory and moving on.

Finish a small quilt for Quilt Visions Fantastic Flower project.


Complete Low Water Immersion Dyeing Tutorial and get it on line.

Add static home pages to blogspot and facebook. (The page is completed in html, now I just have to figure out how to get it loaded.)


I think if I get all of this accomplished, it will be a good month.

The Dye Garden

The idea of the dye garden is very simple. Request dye plant seeds from me, or buy your own and begin your garden. Doesn't matter whether you have an acre, a small backyard, a window sill or a balcony. See below for links on how to get your seeds started. I've ordered indigo seeds from Botanical Colors (Madam Magyar), Blue Light Junction (grown in Baltimore, MD) and Ossabaw Island, GA (Mayan Blue). Soon indigo seeds should be arriving from my friend Kiri in Brazil.   In addition to the indigo seeds, I also have weld, woad, coreopsis, black hopi sunflower and madder seeds.  This seed variety will produce a full spectrum of colors. Primary colors when used individually in a dyebath, and a host of secondary and tertiary colors when combined. Facebook, Friends, Family, Business Pages, Groups

Lots of blah, blah, wee going on about FaceBook and 25 friends, business pages no longer the be all end all, and having more meaningful interactions with family, friends and in groups. Some folks are in an uproar (some folks are always in an uproar, or so it seems). "Our relationship is in trouble." Here it comes. If you are family or a close friend and the only way you maintain contact with me is through FB, our relationship is in trouble. We are both aware of this.
